At around 9:20 AM, I had to leave for office. I booked a Rapido ride, and the first ride was accepted at ₹127, but the captain cancelled it.
I immediately booked another ride, again showing ₹127. The second captain accepted the ride, I took the auto and reached my office. When I reached, I paid ₹127 as shown during the booking.
But then the captain told me that the fare was ₹139. I was already in a hurry, so I checked the notification on my phone, which showed ₹139, and paid the amount.
Later, when I checked my trip details, it clearly showed the fare as ₹127.
Now I am confused. Which fare is actually correct?
If the trip fare was ₹127, why was ₹139 shown in the notification and why was I asked to pay ₹139? If ₹139 was the final fare, why does the trip history show ₹127?
Rapido, can you please explain what happened here? As a customer, we should at least know exactly how much we are supposed to pay before or at the end of the ride.
Small differences in fare may look insignificant, but when this keeps happening, it becomes frustrating and raises questions about transparency.
