We are looking for a Python Developer to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems powering UrNextDoor.

You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, AI/ML engineers, DevOps, and design teams to build APIs, services, integrations, and platform capabilities used across the UrNextDoor ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications.
• Build robust REST APIs and backend services.
• Develop business logic and services powering communities, marketplace, profiles, content, messaging, and other platform features.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries.
• Build secure and reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.
• Develop asynchronous and background processing systems where required.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Implement unit, integration, and API tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Work with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent capabilities into products.
• Contribute to architecture and engineering decisions as the platform scales.
• Follow security, coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
